Ino Katsiardi has been a member of the Environmental and Energy Management Research Unit (EEMRU) since 2001.

She graduated in 1997 with a BSc in Biology from the Imperial College of Science, Technology, and Medicine in London. The topic of her thesis was "Agriculture and the Environment: A Comparison Between Intensive, Sustainable, and Organic Farming."

In 1998, she completed her master's thesis titled "Environmental Impacts of Development in the Thessaloniki Area in the 20th Century on the Thermaic Gulf," in collaboration with the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research, and graduated with an MSc in Water Resources Management from King's College, London.

In the past, she has worked as a Medical Writer and as Head of Advertising and Marketing for Scientific Publications S.A., and later as a Consultant in the Liquid Waste Department of EPEM S.A. Environmental Consultants.
